Atanas Atanasov calls ‘Petrohan’ case a distraction from political scandals

Atanas Atanasov, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and MP for Democratic Bulgaria, has characterized the recent revelations regarding the ‘Petrohan’ case as a strategic distraction. He argued that the timing of these disclosures is intended to divert public attention from a scandal involving Vice President Yotova and her role in pardoning drug traffickers.

Atanasov also addressed the upcoming presidential race, warning against the concentration of ‘red power’ with eastern ties, which he claims poses a risk to national security. Furthermore, he highlighted security deficits following explosions at the EMKO facility, describing the incident as an ‘organized action from the East.’ He has called for the Prime Minister to be heard and invited President Rumen Radev to the National Assembly to clarify security measures.
