Thief: The Dark Project Remastered set for December 3 release

Atari, Nightdive Studios, and Eidos-Montréal have announced that Thief: The Dark Project Remastered will launch on December 3, 2026. The remaster of the 1998 stealth classic will be available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, as well as on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Developed using the KEX Engine, the release includes the original game along with all content from the 1999 Thief Gold update. A significant addition is a brand-new narrative campaign titled “The Tarnished Mirror,” created by the team behind the acclaimed fan mod “The Black Parade.” This new campaign serves as a bridge between the first and second games, incorporating Lovecraftian horror elements and new factions.

Digital editions include a Standard version for €29.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition for €34.99, which features a soundtrack, digital artbook, and a preview of an upcoming novel. Physical editions, including a Steelbook and a special Deluxe Trapezoid Edition, will be released for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 through Clear River Games.
