Atari and Pipeworks release Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered
Atari, Pipeworks, and Toho International have released Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5, the remake of the 2002 arena fighter features updated visuals, improved environmental destruction, and support for 4K resolution.
Players can control various monsters from the Godzilla franchise, including Showa-era Mechagodzilla, in destructible urban environments such as Tokyo and San Francisco. The remaster introduces a streamlined point-based unlock and upgrade system, online matchmaking, and modern performance features while maintaining the original gameplay focus.
Alongside the launch, a paid DLC pack is available. This content includes a black-and-white filter to simulate the aesthetic of the original films, a new arena, and skins for Godzilla 2000 and MechaGodzilla Showa. The digital version is priced at $29.99, with physical editions available for PS5 and Switch 2.
