Atari announces RollerCoaster Tycoon successor Wonderworks

Atari has announced the return of the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise with a new title, Wonderworks, revealed during Gamescom. Developed by Springloaded, the studio known for Let’s Build a Zoo, the game marks the series' first major new entry in approximately ten years.

Wonderworks will feature a three-dimensional, toy-like art style with an isometric perspective. The gameplay will focus on park design, financial management, and attraction construction. A key technical update includes a revamped physics engine that will test the viability of player-designed roller coasters based on real physics rules.

The game is scheduled to enter early access on Steam this winter for €24.99. Atari has indicated plans to bring the full version to consoles following the PC early access period.
