Atari appoints Crossy Road creator Matt Hall as EVP of Mobile

Atari has announced the appointment of Matt Hall as Executive Vice President of Atari Mobile, a newly created position. Hall, the co-founder of Hipster Whale and creator of the mobile hit ‘Crossy Road’, will report directly to Atari Chairman and CEO Wade Rosen.

In this role, Hall is tasked with overseeing Atari’s mobile gaming business and executing a unified cross-platform strategy. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between different gaming environments by bringing Atari’s PC and console titles to mobile devices, while simultaneously expanding successful mobile intellectual property to web, PC, and console platforms.

Hall will focus on strengthening relationships with third-party mobile platforms and building the necessary infrastructure to support regular, simultaneous releases across multiple engines and platforms.
