Atatürk Cultural Center starts summer jazz concert series in Istanbul

The Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) in Istanbul will host an eleven‑concert summer jazz series from 12 August to 16 September 2026. Branded “Yaz Başka, Caz Başka” and sponsored by Türk Telekom Prime, the concerts will take place each evening at 20:30 in the AKM Multi‑Purpose Hall.

The program showcases young Turkish jazz ensembles, including the Ilayda Hatipoğlu Quintet, Fuji, Teselli, Dandefuse, One Two Trio, Füniküler, Kaos, Efe Erdem Quintet, Pür, and Calicogenç. Organisers aim to highlight improvisation and a blend of styles—from traditional Anatolian modes to funk, jazz‑pop, and Japanese fusion—bringing fresh energy to the national jazz scene and reaching broader audiences.
