Atatürk University held a graduation ceremony in Baku, Azerbaijan, for approximately 200 students from its Faculty of Open and Distance Education for the 2026-2027 academic period.

Attended by University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu and various diplomatic and academic representatives, the event emphasized the strong cultural and educational ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Hacımüftüoğlu described the ceremony as a “bridge of hearts” between the two nations, noting that the university’s distance learning model helps eliminate geographical barriers to knowledge.

The program included the playing of both Turkish and Azerbaijani national anthems, cultural performances such as Azerbaijani folk dances, and the presentation of awards to successful students.
