Atatürk University hosts Uzbek delegation to boost academic cooperation

Atatürk University in Turkey welcomed a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education and senior officials from several Uzbek universities. The visit, part of the university’s internationalisation drive, included meetings on student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research projects, curriculum development and other forms of academic partnership. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized the historic and cultural ties between the two nations and said the university’s experience would serve as a reference for “friend and brother” countries. Specific institutions discussed for collaboration were Yangi Asr University, the State University of World Languages, Samarkand State Economic University and Namangan State Foreign Languages University. After formal talks, Uzbek scholars toured Atatürk University’s English, German, early childhood, philosophy, history and translation faculties, exchanging views on teaching methods and research activities. Both sides expressed a willingness to formalise agreements that will increase mobility of students and academics and launch joint scientific studies.
