Atatürk University nears completion of National Technology Workshop
Construction is nearing completion for the National Technology Workshop at Atatürk University in Erzurum, Turkey. This facility is distinguished as the first and only independent building among the National Technology Workshops planned for implementation across 81 provinces in the country.
Developed through a collaboration between Atatürk University, KUDAKA, and TÜBİTAK, the approximately 550-square-meter facility is designed to support the entire lifecycle of innovation, from initial idea and prototyping to final product development. The workshop aims to serve a diverse user base, including high school and university students, academics, and doctoral researchers.
Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu stated that the center aligns with the university’s vision of transforming scientific research into technology and social benefit. The facility will provide modern infrastructure, mentorship, and equipment to help young innovators realize their projects and prepare for national and international technology competitions like TEKNOFEST.
