Atatürk University Tops Turkish Citation Rankings and Outlines Future Strategy

Atatürk University was ranked first among Turkish institutions in the global top‑10% of most‑cited publications for 2025, with 231 papers placing the university in the leading percentile worldwide, according to Clarivate InCites data. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu highlighted the achievement as proof of the university’s shift toward high‑impact research.

In a subsequent strategic meeting chaired by Hacımüftüoğlu, senior administrators reviewed academic performance, internationalisation goals, quality initiatives and upcoming projects. The discussion emphasized strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, increasing the university’s global visibility and sustaining research excellence.
