ATDT and Duolingo partner to provide English training for AI students

The Agencia de Transformación Digital y Telecomunicaciones (ATDT) has partnered with Duolingo to provide 25,000 free Super Duolingo licenses to students at the Centro Público de Formación en Inteligencia Artificial.

The initiative targets students in the second generation of the program, who are training in fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and software development. The agreement aims to improve English language proficiency for those at basic levels (A1, A2, and B1), as English is a mandatory requirement for certification at the center.

Raúl Soto, executive director of Infotec, noted that English is a vital tool for digital reconversion and expanding job opportunities in the technology sector. The licenses will include features typically reserved for paid versions, such as ad-free learning and specialized practice modes, to ensure language skills do not become a barrier to professional success in the digital economy.
