Hongjoong, the leader of the K-pop group ATEEZ, has been diagnosed with a rib fracture. According to an official statement from KQ Entertainment on August 13, the injury was discovered after the artist sought medical attention for a persistent cough.

Medical professionals have advised Hongjoong to receive sufficient rest to aid his recovery. Despite the diagnosis, the artist has expressed a desire to continue participating in scheduled group activities as much as possible.

KQ Entertainment stated that while Hongjoong will attempt to maintain his schedule ‘as far as his condition permits,’ his participation in upcoming performances may be adjusted based on his physical state. The agency emphasized that his health and safety remain the top priority and that they will monitor his condition closely.
