ATER releases cover of Type O Negative track

Chilean extreme metal band ATER has released a cover of Type O Negative’s track “My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend” via Torque Records. The cover was produced to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Type O Negative’s landmark album, “October Rust”.

Frontman Fernando Bühring noted that the band’s sound, which blends extreme metal and gothic rock, was heavily inspired by Type O Negative. The recording process for the cover was completed quickly, featuring contributions from producer Tebby Muñoz on guitar solos. ATER, based in Santiago, is known for a style described as Dark Metal or Extreme Dark Metal.
