Atersir allocates funds for waste reduction in Italian provinces

Atersir, the regional agency for water and waste services in Emilia-Romagna, has allocated significant funding to promote circular economy goals and waste reduction across various Italian provinces.

In the Forlì-Cesena province, over one million euros have been assigned. This includes nearly 700,000 euros to reward municipalities that achieve high waste reduction rates. Specific initiatives include a “stoviglioteca” in Forlì for lending reusable tableware, the installation of dishwashers in nurseries to eliminate single-use items, and the creation of new water stations in Cesenatico.

In the Piacenza province, over 740,000 euros have been designated. These funds support waste prevention, improved services in mountainous areas, and rewards for efficient administrations. Projects include installing microfiltered water dispensers in schools in Alseno and Borgonovo, and establishing a public water station in Piacenza. Additionally, approximately 540,000 euros are directed toward mountain community projects, such as new storage centers in Coli and enhanced video surveillance for waste disposal sites in Corte Brugnatella.
