ATG Entertainment opens casting for Disney’s The Lion King

ATG Entertainment has launched a large-scale international casting call for the upcoming production of Disney’s ‘The Lion King’. The musical is scheduled to premiere in autumn 2027 at the newly constructed Theater im Prater to coincide with the production’s 30th stage anniversary.

The production team is seeking diverse talent from Vienna, Austria, and worldwide. Unlike traditional musical productions, the audition process does not strictly require formal musical training. Instead, the search focuses on expressive personalities with strong stage presence.

Specifically, the casting team is looking for performers in the fields of RnB, soul, pop, vocals, and dance. There is a targeted search for individuals with BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) backgrounds, as well as international or Southern European backgrounds, to bring an authentic character to the show.
