Greece imposes traffic closures for Run Bike Care and Stratoni Triathlon 2026

Temporary traffic restrictions will be imposed in Greece on Sunday 6‑7 June 2026 to accommodate two sporting events.

In Athens, the 6th Run Bike Care race – a 10 km cycling and 5 km running competition – will start and finish at Syntagma Square. Road closures and staged stoppages are scheduled from 08:00 to 12:00 on streets including Stadiou, Filellinon, the avenues of Queen Amalia, Queen Olga, King Constantine, and Queen Sophia, among others. Motor vehicles will be barred from the race route except at controlled intersections, and drivers are advised to use detour routes.

In the Chalkidiki region, a three‑hour full‑road closure on the Thessaloniki‑Eiresos national highway between kilometre‑posts 99.5 and 112 will be enforced from 07:30 to 10:30 for the Stratoni Triathlon 2026. All traffic will be diverted to alternate roads while the event proceeds, with police urging motorists to follow signage and plan travel accordingly.
