Athens Court orders Apostolos Petrakis to pay damages to Grigoris Dimitriadis

The Multi-member Court of First Instance in Athens has ruled in favor of Grigoris Dimitriadis in a lawsuit against Apostolos Petrakis. The court found that Petrakis repeatedly insulted Dimitriadis's personality through slanderous claims made across social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, and radio appearances.

Petrakis has been ordered to pay 10,000 euros in compensation for moral damages. Additionally, the court mandated that Petrakis upload a video to TikTok announcing the judicial decision and issue a formal apology for the false and retracted references made to Dimitriadis between January and March 2025.

The ruling also imposes a restriction on Petrakis, prohibiting him from making further defamatory or slanderous remarks, with the threat of strict financial penalties for any future violations. The legal action followed Petrakis making unsubstantiated allegations linking Dimitriadis to organized crime, fuel smuggling, and the cover-up of responsibilities regarding the Tempi train tragedy.
