Athens cultural scene: Miltos Paschalidis and Iliad stage adaptation

Miltos Paschalidis is scheduled to perform at the Municipal Theatre of Lycabettus in Athens on September 23 and 24. Following several sold-out shows, an additional date has been added to accommodate demand. Paschalidis will be joined by songwriter Pavlina Vulgaraki and a full ensemble of musicians, performing a repertoire spanning his 31-year career.

In theatrical news, an award-winning stage adaptation of Homer’s Iliad, created by Lisa Peterson and Dennis O’Hare, is coming to Greece. Performed by Peggy Trikalioti and directed by Alexandros Raptoptaşios, the production features a modern rock narrative with music by Giannis Anastasakis. The production, organized by Lykofos, is set to premiere on November 16 at the Theatre of Kyklades Street.
