Athens emerges as a hub for global investment and international diplomacy

Athens is experiencing a significant shift in international perception, transitioning from a period of economic crisis to a growing hub for global investment. Major international publications, including the Financial Times and Bloomberg, have noted the influx of hedge funds and large-scale investors into the Greek capital. The country has returned to investment grade, with Greek bonds now yielding lower returns than those of France and Italy.

Simultaneously, Athens is strengthening its role as a center for international cultural dialogue. For the first time in the organization's history, UNESCO hosted a meeting of its Goodwill Ambassadors outside of Paris. The event brought together over 40 international figures, including Amal Clooney, for discussions on cultural heritage and the impact of artificial intelligence on culture. The gathering included workshops and a fundraising dinner at the Acropolis Museum to support UNESCO's initiatives.
