Athens hosts diverse summer cultural and cinema events

Athens is hosting a variety of cultural and summer activities. Cine Alexandra in Halandri offers an outdoor cinema experience set within a green, tree-lined space, providing a cool retreat for residents.

Other scheduled events include free summer cinema screenings at the ‘Thanasis Vengos’ School Cinema and musical themed outdoor screenings at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, featuring classics such as ‘Cabaret’ and ‘Mamma Mia!’.

Art and history enthusiasts can visit the Acropolis Museum for an exhibition on ancient Greek art in Italy, or the National Library of Greece for an exhibition featuring rare archival documents and artifacts commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Fall of Missolonghi. Additionally, the Municipal Market of Kypseli is hosting festivals, workshops, and book fairs, while the Gallery of the Municipality of Athens is presenting a contemporary art exhibition inspired by Maya Angelou.
