Athens International Film Festival Nights Premiere announces 32nd edition

The 32nd Athens International Film Festival Nights Premiere is scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 11. The festival features a program including films from Cannes and Venice, alongside Greek cinema and special screenings focused on contemporary socio-political themes.

Key highlights include the opening film, ‘Club Kid’ by Jordan Firstman, and the closing film, ‘Wild Horse Nine’ by Martin McDonagh, starring John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell. The event also includes the ‘Athens Film Industry Days’ cycle, featuring masterclasses by award-winning director Igor Bezovitch and cinematographer Olympia Mytilinaiou, as well as professional networking sessions.

Following a period of financial difficulty due to the loss of ESPA funding, the festival has secured support from EKKOMED and new sponsors to facilitate this year's organization.
