Athens Kallithea signs experienced midfielder Fani Zhandaris

Athens Kallithea FC announced the acquisition of 33‑year‑old midfielder Fani Zhandaris after his contract with Asteras Tripoli expired. Zhandaris, a veteran of 201 Super League appearances, has played for PAOK, Olympiacos, Panionios, Panathinaikos, Lamia and Asteras Tripoli. He made his top‑flight debut with PAOK at age 20 in September 2013, later moving to Olympiacos in 2015 and spending spells on loan before returning to Greek clubs, most recently contributing to Lamia’s sixth‑place finish in the 2023/24 season. Athens Kallithea aim to strengthen their roster to compete for promotion to the top tier of Greek football.

The signing reflects the club’s strategy to add seasoned players – dubbed “Super‑ligas” – to boost the squad’s quality and ambition for the upcoming campaign.
