Athens launches AthensWay digital mobility application
The Municipality of Athens has launched AthensWay, a new digital application designed to streamline urban mobility and transportation services within the city. Premiering on September 21, 2026, the app serves as an advanced successor to the myAthensPass platform.
Key features include the digital management of controlled parking permits, allowing users to select vehicles, choose parking durations between 30 and 180 minutes, and receive notifications before their time expires. The app supports remote extensions and various payment methods, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Additionally, users can access live updates regarding parking availability, such as real-time occupancy rates for the municipal underground parking at Kozia Square, as well as information on bus services and electric vehicle charging stations.
Controlled parking fees apply Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 21:00 and Saturdays from 09:00 to 16:00, with no charges on Sundays or public holidays. Electric vehicles and those with disability permits are exempt from fees in visitor parking spots for up to 180 minutes.
