Athens Metro Line 1 disrupted after person falls from footbridge

An emergency was declared on Athens Metro Line 1 (ISAP) after an individual fell from a footbridge onto the tracks between the Attiki and Agios Nikolaos stations.

According to STASY, the incident caused significant service disruptions. Metro operations were temporarily restricted to the Piraeus–Omonoia and A. Patisia–Kifisia sections. Several stations were placed out of service, including Victoria, Attiki, Agios Nikolaos, K. Patisia, and Agios Eleftherios. Emergency services, including the Hellenic Police and EKAV, were dispatched to the scene.
