Athens Metro Line 3 stations close early for overnight track replacement
Work to replace the rail tracks on Athens Metro Line 3 continues between the Constitution and Megaro Mousikis stations. Starting Sunday 26 July and lasting through Thursday each night, the stations Constitution (still serving Line 2), Evangelismos and Megaro Mousikis will close at 21:40, 2½ hours earlier than usual. Train movements on Line 3 will be limited to the section between Demokratiko Theatro‑Monastiraki and Ampelokipoi‑D. Plakentias‑Airport. The last trains before the early closure depart at 21:06, 21:29, 21:31, 21:33, 21:34 (toward the airport) and at 21:30, 21:44, 21:46, 21:47, 21:49 (toward the city centre). After the technical work starts at 21:40, trains heading to the airport will originate from Ampelokipoi, and those arriving from the airport will terminate there. OASA provides a temporary bus line X23 between Monastiraki and Ampelokipoi to serve affected passengers.
