Athens Municipality launches digital application for Ring traffic permits

Residents of the Municipality of Athens can now apply for and receive their Ring traffic permit digitally. Through the DAEM SA platform, eligible individuals can submit applications and necessary supporting documents electronically, removing the requirement for physical presence.

The digital permit includes a unique QR code that allows authorities to verify its validity. The entire process—from application and document submission to review, approval, and issuance—is now handled through the digital system.

Eligibility is strictly limited to permanent residents of the Municipality of Athens whose primary residence is located within the Ring boundaries. To qualify, the address must be listed as the primary residence on the individual's E1 tax form. Residents living abroad who file tax returns through the Tax Office for Residents Abroad are not eligible for this permit.
