Athens Municipality launches free creative programs for children
The Municipality of Athens, through the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth (OPANDA), is launching free creative educational programs for children. Running from October 17, 2026, to April 24, 2027, these weekend activities are designed for children aged 6 to 12.
Hosted at Creative Learning Centers in Vafeiochori, Evelpidon, Kypseli, Neos Kosmos, and Nordaou, the programs include organized activities in painting, music, and theater. The initiative aims to provide children with opportunities for free expression, skill development, and experiential learning in a supportive environment.
Athens Mayor Haris Doukas stated that the program seeks to ensure every child has access to art and a space for free expression, while OPANDA President Roxani Bei emphasized the commitment to strengthening culture and creative expression within city neighborhoods.
