Athens region sees two serious traffic accidents with multiple injuries

A severe collision on a busy road in Ilion involved a motorcycle and several cars, leaving two young men, aged 22 and 24, with critical injuries. They were rushed to Attikon Hospital where doctors are working to stabilise them while police investigate the cause of the chain‑reaction crash.

Later on Attiki Odos near the Paiania interchange, a truck carrying bazar materials overturned, trapping its driver. Firefighters freed him; he suffered only minor injuries. The spill of fuel and oil disrupted traffic, prompting authorities to halt and regulate vehicle flow while the road was cleared.
