Athlete Erik Luís Anacleto dies after falling ill during street race

Erik Luís Anacleto, a 39-year-old amateur athlete and electrician from Lunardelli, has died at the Hospital Norte Paranaense in Arapongas.

Anacleto fell ill during the 3rd edition of the KR RUN Cresol street race in Ivaiporã on Sunday, August 30. After receiving immediate medical attention during the race, he was initially stabilized at a hospital in Ivaiporã. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to intensive care in Arapongas, where he later passed away on Friday, September 4.

Anacleto is survived by his wife and son. His death has caused significant mourning within the local sporting community and the Corrida Lunardelli group.
