Athletes compete in Chamonix OCC trail running race

The OCC (Orsières-Champex-Chamonix) race, a prestigious event within the UTMB World Series, recently concluded in France. The 61-kilometer course featured significant elevation gain and challenging weather conditions.

Argentine athlete Anabel Oviedo Zelarayán finished fourth in the 40-44 age category with a time of 7:16:37. Her performance placed her 130th in the general classification and 33rd among female competitors. The category winner was American Alicia Vargo.

Spanish trail runner Sara Alonso Martínez secured third place in the race. Alonso, who has previously overcome significant injuries and a training accident involving livestock, continues to establish herself as a leading figure in international mountain running.
