Athletes compete in Romanian Open Water Swimming Cup

The third edition of the AtlantisMan competition and the Romanian Open Water Swimming Cup took place in Jupiter, Black Sea, on August 30. The event, organized by the Romanian Swimming Federation and Pentathlon Modern, faced delays due to unfavorable weather conditions, including strong currents and waves, which forced the rescheduling of races from August 29 to August 30.

Aris Mureșan, representing Clubul Sportiv Universitatea Cluj, secured second place in the Youth category (ages 18-19) for the 10,000-meter race and fifth place in the Open classification. He also earned a silver medal in the 3x500-meter mixed relay.

In the youth divisions, 14-year-old Rareș Ciora placed fourth in the Under 15 category for the 500-meter event. The competition featured various endurance distances, including 2,500, 5,000, 7,500, and 10,000 meters, across both male and female categories.
