Athletes compete in UTACCH ultra trail races in Córdoba

Athletes from Tierra del Fuego and the running group Las Gacelas recently participated in various mountain racing events across Argentina, including the 15th anniversary of the Ultra Trail Amanecer Comechingón (UTACCH) in Villa Yacanto, Córdoba.

The UTACCH competition presented significant challenges due to heavy rain and muddy terrain. Despite these conditions, members of the Las Gacelas group completed distances of 15, 26, and 38 kilometers without injuries.

In the UTACCH event, Mauricio Núñez achieved a notable result, placing 6th overall and 2nd in his category for the 100-kilometer race. Other participants from Tierra del Fuego also secured various placements in the 75, 55, 25, and 15-kilometer categories. Additionally, Carmen Socompi from Ushuaia placed 1st in her category during the 19th Expedición Conociendo a la Pachamama in Tilcara, Jujuy.
