Athletes deliver strong performances at Lausanne Diamond League

Athletes showcased strong performances during the Diamond League athletics meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Algerian athletes Yasser Triki and Djamel Sedjati both secured second-place finishes. Triki narrowly missed victory in the triple jump by a single centimeter, while Sedjati recorded his best time of the season in the 800 meters. These results are viewed as significant preparation for the upcoming Mediterranean Games in Taranto.

In the women’s 3,000m steeplechase, Maroua Bouzayani finished third with a time of 9:05.55, maintaining her lead in the Diamond League general standings with 31 points. Tunisian athlete Rihab Dhahri finished thirteenth with a time of 9:35.70, marking progress toward her personal best. The race was won by Bahrain’s Winifard Yafi, who set a new meeting record.
