Athletes prepare for upcoming seasons in Dominican Republic and Argentina

In the Dominican Republic, pitcher Carlos Belén reports a significant shift in team morale at the Estrellas Orientales training camp in San Pedro de Macorís. Belén noted that the atmosphere feels more unified and energetic compared to the previous season, which he believes could be a key factor in the team's competitiveness for the 2026-27 campaign. The pitcher, who has previously managed high-pressure situations in the bullpen, emphasized the importance of mental focus and routine during his preparation.

In Argentina, basketball coach Sebastián Porta stated that his San Isidro squad is still far from reaching its intended competitive level during the early weeks of preseason. Porta noted that the team is currently in the process of integrating new players and adjusting to regulatory changes. His focus remains on building a deep, competitive roster capable of playing a dynamic style of basketball, despite the challenges of assembling a renovated lineup.
