Athletes see significant fame increases through celebrity relationships

A study by Casino Streamers has examined how romantic relationships with celebrities can significantly increase the public profile and digital presence of professional athletes.

Travis Kelce experienced the most substantial surge in fame following his relationship with Taylor Swift. After Swift attended a game at Arrowhead Stadium in September 2023, online searches for Kelce rose from approximately 4.8 million to over 133 million within a single month. During this period, his Instagram following grew by 2.1 million, and more than 121,000 new articles were written about him.

Other athletes noted for increased visibility include Justin Herbert, whose monthly searches rose from 186,000 to nearly 1.74 million following his relationship with Madison Beer. Stefon Diggs also saw a significant boost in interest, with monthly searches jumping from 1.5 million to over 7.4 million after dating Cardi B. Additional athletes mentioned include Josh Allen, Lewis Hamilton, and Donovan Mitchell.
