Athletes with disabilities participate in sports programs across Poland

Athletes with disabilities in Poland are participating in various sports programs and training camps. In Kielce, the Futbol Plus tournament is scheduled for August 30 at the Świętokrzyska University of Technology Stadium. The event will bring together over 200 children from across the country with various physical and intellectual disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum and those with hearing impairments.

Futbol Plus is a nationwide program involving over 80 academies that provide regular football training for youth with disabilities. The Kielce tournament is part of an intensive 2026 calendar that includes upcoming events in Lublin, Czarny Dunajec, and near Gdańsk.

Separately, the HANDICAP Zakopane Foundation recently concluded a 10-day intensive sports camp in Mielno. The group of 54 participants, which included world and European championship medalists, engaged in over five hours of daily training, including beach running, swimming, volleyball, and strength exercises, alongside psychological support and rehabilitation activities.
