Athletes Yisneidi Alcántara and Clara Mansart achieve career milestones

Yisneidi Alcántara, an athlete from Azua, has been selected to portray Dominican Olympic champion Marileidy Paulino in a film project. Alcántara, who transitioned from softball to track and field, was a rising talent in Dominican athletics by 2023, winning the 400 meters in the U14-15 category at the School Athletics Festival and earning a bronze medal in the 4x100 meters relay at the Central American and Caribbean School Games.

In another sports development, Clara Mansart has transitioned from a physiotherapist to a professional padel player. After winning an amateur tournament, the Oysho Padel Cup, and competing in Milan, Mansart decided to pursue a professional career on the FIP circuit and has received her first call-up to represent France at the World Cup in Doha.
