European Para Swimming Championships see medal success for Poland and Czech Republic

The European Para Swimming Championships in Kocaeli, Turkey, concluded with significant performances from various national teams. Poland secured 12 medals in total, including three golds, three silvers, and six bronzes. Notable Polish athletes included Alan Ogorzałek, who earned bronze in the 100m freestyle (S10) and previously took silver in the 400m freestyle, and Andrzej Kowalik, who won bronze in the 100m butterfly (S14).

Czech swimmer David Kratochvíl had a highly successful championship, earning six medals in total, including five golds and a silver in the 100m backstroke (S11). Agáta Koupilová also contributed to the Czech medal count with a silver in the 200m freestyle.

In other international competitions, the Polish Academic Representative team earned seven medals at the Academic World Weightlifting Championships in Doha, Qatar. Maria Połka and Michał Kościuk were standout performers, both reaching the podium in both Olympic disciplines. Additionally, Bartosz Kapała secured second place in the 10km event at the Open Water Euro Cup in Tenero, Switzerland.
