Athletic Club and Abanca Ademar face early season challenges

Athletic Club is facing a challenging period under manager Edin Terzic, with current performances drawing comparisons to the difficult final season of Ernesto Valverde. The team has struggled to maintain its previous competitive standards, leading to concerns regarding the squad's morale and the effectiveness of recent tactical decisions.

In handball, Abanca Ademar has had a difficult start to the Liga Asobal season. Following an irregular preseason, the team has suffered two defeats against Sagunto and Cuenca, conceding 74 goals in just two matches. Manager Luis Puertas has called for self-criticism and improved defensive performance to address the impact of losing seven key players during the transfer window.
