Athletic Club member Justo Izaguirre dies at 104

Athletic Club has announced the passing of its number one member, Justo Izaguirre, at the age of 104. Izaguirre became the club’s oldest member in August 2025 following the death of Juan Antonio Virumbrales.

To honor his memory, both the men’s and women’s first teams will wear black armbands during their upcoming matches against Elche and Espanyol, respectively. The club expressed its condolences to his family and friends through official channels, noting that Izaguirre had previously received a special tribute from the club on his 100th birthday.
