Athletic Club striker Gorka Guruzeta sidelined by muscle injury

Athletic Club striker Gorka Guruzeta has been ruled out of the upcoming match against Elche due to a moderate muscle injury in his right hamstring. According to the club's medical report, the forward is currently training separately from his teammates at the Lezama facilities while his condition is monitored.

Guruzeta's absence adds to a growing list of injuries within the squad. He joins Dani Vivian, who has been sidelined since the beginning of the preseason with an injury to the long abductor of the right leg, and Peio Canales, who is recovering from a moderate muscle injury in his left soleus.

Coach Edin Terzic will need to adjust his attacking lineup for the Saturday fixture at San Mamés, with Iñaki Williams likely continuing in a central role.
