Athletic Club youth players reach milestone under Edin Terzić

Athletic Club manager Edin Terzić has overseen the debut of five academy players from Lezama in LaLiga within the first ten matchdays of the season. This achievement matches the pace set by his predecessor, Ernesto Valverde, during his tenure.

The most recent debuts occurred during a 4-0 victory against Getafe at San Mamés, where Christian Imga and Txus Vizcay entered the match. Terzić defended the decision to use the young players, stating that their opportunities were earned rather than being mere gestures during a decided game.

With 28 matchdays remaining in the season, Terzić is positioned to potentially surpass Valverde’s previous records for youth integration.
