Athletic competitions scheduled in Abruzzo and Lazio

Various athletic events are scheduled across Italy, including trail running competitions in Abruzzo and mountain biking in Lazio.

In Abruzzo, the Ultra Trail della Maiella recently concluded in the Maiella National Park. The 48.7-kilometer race, which featured 2,308 meters of elevation gain, was won by Francesco Vitali, while Luisella Masciangelo took the women's title. A shorter 15-kilometer trail was also held. Additionally, the Trabocchi Trail Adventure is set to return on September 12.

In Montefiascone, registrations have opened for the 21st edition of the Marathon Est! Est!! Est!!! mountain bike race, scheduled for October 11. This year's event will serve to close the Maremma Tosco Laziale and New Marathon Lazio circuits and will award regional Marathon titles. The competition offers three distinct routes: a 53-kilometer Marathon course, a 35-kilometer Granfondo course open to E-bikes, and a 30-kilometer cycling tourism itinerary.
