Athletic races announced in San Luis Potosí and Ipiales

In San Luis Potosí, Mexico, the State Congress and the Potosino Institute of Physical Culture and Sport (INPODE) have signed a collaboration agreement to host an athletic race on October 11. The event commemorates the Bicentennial of the State Political Constitution of 1826. The race will offer 3k, 5k, and 10k distances for both men and women, with registration starting October 5. The 10k category will feature cash prizes for the top three finishers. The starting and finishing point will be located at the Legislative Building in Jardín Hidalgo.

In Ipiales, Colombia, the Organization for Recreation and Sport of Ipiales (Ordepi) has officially presented the routes for the 2026 Media Maratón de la Frontera. Scheduled for November 29, 2026, this edition will focus on supporting women. The competition will include 5k, 10k, and 21k distances, starting at Ordepi and concluding at the Municipal Stadium. Organizers intend to use the event as a tool for social transformation and to promote the Nariño territory through running.
