Athletico Paranaense adds two signings and eyes further reinforcements ahead of Serie A restart

Athletico Paranaense held a closed training match at its Caju complex, beating Andraus U‑20 10‑0. The squad featured two newly signed players – right‑back Gilberto Moraes (ex‑Bahia) and centre‑forward Jorge Rivaldo (ex‑Águilas‑COL). Injured or absent members included Benavídez, Dudu Kogitzki, goalkeeper Mycael and midfielder Portilla, while several players were released.

The club is also active in the transfer market. It secured defender Dantas from Novorizontino and is reportedly targeting striker Serginho Andrade of Al‑Wasl in the United Arab Emirates. A pending departure sees right‑back Hayen Palacios returning to Deportivo Independiente Medellín in Colombia. Athletico will play a friendly against Boca Juniors in Salta, Argentina, before the Brazilian league resumes on 22 July.
