Athletico Paranaense drew 1-1 against Red Bull Bragantino in the 23rd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro at Arena da Baixada. Despite maintaining an eight-game unbeaten streak, the result prevented Athletico from closing the gap on league leaders Palmeiras.

Athletico held the majority of the pressure throughout the match, but goalkeeper Tiago Volpi delivered a strong performance to keep the score level for much of the game. Red Bull Bragantino managed to take the lead in the second half via a set piece in the 21st minute.
