Raphael Veiga to undergo shoulder surgery in Brazil
Raphael Veiga, the Brazilian midfielder currently on loan from Palmeiras to Club América, will undergo surgery in São Paulo to treat a left shoulder dislocation. Following the procedure, Veiga will undergo rehabilitation at Palmeiras’ Health and Performance Center in Brazil, as agreed upon by both clubs.
The injury complicates Veiga's tenure with Club América, as his loan agreement is set to expire in December. Reports indicate that the Mexican club may not exercise its purchase option, which is tied to specific performance clauses regarding minutes played, goals, and assists. If a permanent transfer does not occur, Veiga is expected to return to Palmeiras for the next season.
Separately, Palmeiras reported that attacker Vitor Roque has returned to field training following rehabilitation for a right ankle sprain, though he is unlikely to participate in the upcoming match against Red Bull Bragantino.
