Athletico-PR and Paraná Clube sign young players to new contracts

Athletico-PR announced a contract extension for 21‑year‑old midfielder Diogo Riquelme, now running until the end of 2029, up from the previous 2028 expiry. Riquelme debuted professionally in February 2025, has appeared in 22 senior matches and scored twice, including two goals in 2026, and featured in 11 games this season. He was part of the squad that won the Paraná state championship in 2024.

Paraná Clube also confirmed a new deal for 20‑year‑old striker Ruan Lima, keeping him through the 2026 season. Lima helped the team secure promotion to the First Division of the Campeonato Paranaense, contributing three goals and four assists, and expressed his enthusiasm to continue representing the club in upcoming competitions such as the Copa Paraná.
