Athletics achievements and upcoming cross country events in Italy

In Martinengo, Italy, Mauro Blini, 62, and his 22-year-old son Andrea have successfully completed the World Marathon Majors circuit. The prestigious series includes marathons in Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York. Mauro Blini, who has been running since age 13, completed the circuit in Chicago this October, following his son's participation in the Tokyo, Boston, Berlin, and London races.

Separately, registrations for the 70th edition of the Campaccio Cross Country will open on November 6. Organized by US Sangiorgese, the event is scheduled for January 5 and 6, 2027. The competition will feature various categories, including Masters, youth, an inclusive kilometer race, and international men's and women's competitions. Italian athlete Nadia Battocletti has been a notable figure associated with the event.
