Athletics clubs see strong results in regional competitions

Athletics competitions saw significant results across regional events in Italy and San Marino. At the 2026 Cadets Regional Individual Championships in Parma, Olimpus San Marino athletes achieved several notable placements. Alessio Lazzari secured second place in the 5km race walk with a time of 29:57.92, while Cristian Burgal Alfaro reached the 100m hurdles final and recorded a 5.38m in the long jump.

In Calabria, the VII Strabotricello race, which served as the final event for the Regional Master Championship, featured approximately 200 participants. Danilo Ruggiero of Corricastrovillari-Guglielmo Atletica took first place overall. Thomas Fekre finished third, and Italia Sinopoli secured second place in the women's category, marking a strong performance for the Corricastrovillari-Guglielmo Atletica club.
